Obituary for Margie T. Key
A funeral service for Margie Thompson Key, 71 of Kershaw, will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 21, in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home. Rev. Donnie Barrett will officiate. Burial will follow in the Boone Town Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, September 20, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Key, widow of Ernest Joe Key died Saturday, September 17, at KershawHeath, Camden. Born in Kershaw, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Minnie Lee Baker Thompson. She was a seamstress and attended House of Prayer with Open Arms Church. Mrs. Key also loved to cross stitch and work puzzle books.
Surviving are 2 daughters; Betty Jean Key Railey and her husband Lewis Earl, Sr. of Bethune, Tonia Merita Leonard of Cleveland, TN; 3 sons, John Key and his wife Geneva of Kershaw, William Lewis Key and Jimmy Duane Key and his wife Tina all of Cassatt; 7 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; 4 sisters, Helen Roberts of Kershaw, Mary Foster, Kathy Williams both of Lancaster and Ellen Anderson of Cassatt. She was preceded in death by a grandson, John Joseph Key, III.
Memorial contributions in memory of Mrs. Key may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
