Funeral services for Lucille Catoe Humphries, age 76 of Kershaw, will be held at 1:00 o’clock p.m., Monday, December 2, 2019, in the sanctuary of Abney Baptist Church. Pastor Cotton Pate will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends, Sunday evening, December 1, 2019, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home.

Mrs. Humphries died Friday, November 29, 2019. Born in Lancaster Co., she was a daughter of the late Robert Franklin Catoe and Mary Annie Dease Catoe. She retired twice, first from Fieldcrest Cannon and second from Springs Industries. She attended Frontline Biker Church. Mrs. Humphries will be remembered as a good wife, mother and grandmother.

Surviving are 2 sons; Randy Lee (Sandy) Humphries and Rev. Larry (Rita) Humphries; 6 grandchildren, Jason Humphries, Corey Humphries, Patrick (Lindsay) Humphries, Erin Humphries, Ashlyn Deese and Hannah Humphries; 2 great grandchildren, Matthew Reese Humphries and London Ann Humphries; a sister, Kathy Johnson and a brother, John Catoe. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Leroy “W.L.” Humphries, Jr. and 6 siblings, Joann Denstats, Robert Catoe, Elizabeth Catoe, Doris Chavis, Martha Holton and Ollie Mae Payne.

Memorial contributions in her memory may be made to Frontline Biker Church – Building Fund, 8617 Kershaw-Camden Highway, Kershaw, S.C. 29067.
