Obituary for Lou E. Couch
Funeral services for Lou E. Lucas Couch, 86, of Heath Springs, S.C., will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 22, 2016, in the sanctuary of Rich Hill Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. Rod Yow and Tommy Mullis , Jr. will officiate.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, November 22, 2016, beginning at 1:00 p.m., in the church gymnasium.

Mrs. Couch, loving wife of the late Jack Thomas Couch died Saturday, November 19, at her home. Born in the Flat Creek community of Kershaw, she was a daughter of the late Ernest Boag, Sr. and Suelee Small Lucas. Mrs. Couch retired from Springs Industries as a supervisor at the Riverlawn Plant. She had also worked at Grace Bleachery. She was a graduate of Flat Creek High School and had played on the basketball team for Springs Industries. Mrs. Couch has served as Sunday School secretary at Rich Hill Baptist Church for the last 60 years, where she was a member.

Surviving are her daughter, Phyllis Couch Hickman and her husband Billy of Heath Springs; 3 grandchildren, Chip Wolfe, Taylor Hickman and Luke Hickman; 4 great grandchildren, Jackson Wolfe, Raely Wolfe, Tanner Hickman and Walker Wolfe; 2 sisters, Suzanne Roberts and Judy Hinson both of Kershaw and a brother, Odell “Nick” Lucas of Kershaw. She was preceded in death by 5 brothers, Thomas Lucas, Albertus “Tootsie” Lucas, Carl Lucas, Wayne Lucas and E.B. Lucas, Jr.
