Linwood T. Reeves

Mr. Linwood Thomas Reeves, 89, passed away, Sunday afternoon, May 22, 2022, at his home. Born in Kershaw, S.C., he was the son of the late Clarence Reeves and Addie Mae Hyatt Reeves. Mr. Reeves retired from Springs Employee Sales Store. He was a faithful member of Heath Springs Baptist Church and a 60-year member of Barron Masonic Lodge # 261. Mr. Reeves served honorably in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He also served as a volunteer fireman with Heath Springs Fire Department for many years. He enjoyed working with animals, especially his cows and goats.

He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Maxine Bowers Reeves; his daughter, Kara Lynn Reeves Harris and her husband Dennis, whom Mr. Reeves thought of as a son; 2 grandchildren, Matthew Harris and his wife, Michelle and Ashley Harris and a great grandson, Kooper all of Heath Springs, S.C. He is also survived by his sister, Margie R. Byrd of Kershaw, S.C.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday morning, May 25, 2022, in the Kershaw City Cemetery. Dr. Frankie Melton will officiate. Burial will follow in the cemetery with military honors. The family will greet friends immediately following the service in the cemetery.
