Obituary for Lillie M. Morgan
Lillie Mae Williams Smith Morgan, 81, of Kershaw, SC and formerly of DeLeon Springs, FL, died Friday, February 3, 2017, at Springs Memorial Hospital, Lancaster, SC. Born in Columbus, GA, she was a daughter of the late Richard Monroe and Dorothy Louise Nichols Williams. She was a former ward secretary and of Baptist faith. Mrs. Morgan loved doing all kinds of crafts and handwork. She was widowed twice, first by the late Naff Hudson Smith and second by the late William Morgan.
Surviving are 2 daughters, Jo-Ann Bush and her husband Lester of Camden, SC, Cathy Louise Blocker of Kershaw, SC; a son, Gary Smith and his wife Theresa of Kershaw, SC; 6 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; a sister, Mary Elizabeth Atwell and her husband Ralph of Augusta, GA and a brother, Richard Lamar Williams of Augusta, GA. She was preceded in death by a sister, Elsie Louise Matthews of Augusta, GA. The family will hold a gathering, Sunday, February 5, 2017, at 3:00 o’clock p.m. in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home. Burial will be private at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
