Obituary for Larry F. Robinson
A memorial service for Larry Franklin Robinson, 74 of Kershaw will be held at 2:00 o’clock p.m., Friday, April 22, 2016, in New Haven Baptist Church. The Rev. Larry Humphries and Kenneth Wrenn will officiate.
Mr. Robinson, loving husband of 53 years of Joyce Thompson Robinson died Tuesday, April 19, at his home. Born in Kershaw, he was a son of the late Gettys Mills and Eliza Williams Robinson. Mr. Robinson retired from Dupont Co. and was a member of New Haven Baptist Church. He also loved watching his grandchildren play ball and he especially loved Clemson football. Mr. Robinson served his country in the US Army during Vietnam.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons; Larry Franklin “Frankie” Robinson and his wife Tracy of Wilmington, NC, Christopher Mark Robinson and his wife Leslie of Chapin; three grandchildren, Bradley “B” Robinson of Legoff, Kayla Robinson and Jacob Robinson both of Chapin and a brother, Randy Mills Robinson of Kershaw. He was preceded in death by a infant brother, Bobby F. Robinson.
The family will receive friends, Thursday, April 21, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Baker Confrence Center, 105 N. Minor St., Kershaw and other times at the home, 1185 Jones Rd., Kershaw. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to New Haven Baptist Church, 9244 Taxahaw Rd., Jefferson, SC 29718.
