Larry Samuel “Cowboy” Taylor, age 64, of Kershaw, S.C., passed away, Friday afternoon, January 20, 2023, at his home. Born in Kershaw, S.C., he was a son of the late Frank Taylor and Doris Anderson Taylor. He was a talented carpenter. Mr. Taylor enjoyed riding motorcycles, cooking, helping people and spending time with his family. He also loved to work on lawn mowers with his brother ” Beard”. Mr. Taylor was a member of Trinity Club House for 30 years.
Surviving is his wife, Dianna Yates Taylor of 3 years of the home; his son, Joe Cool Taylor and his mother, Sissy Taylor of Lancaster, S.C.; 2 step-daughters, Halle Betts and Dakota Betts both of Grand Junction, Colorado; his siblings, Steven “Beard” Taylor and his wife, Bonnessia of Sevierville, TN, Randy “Frank” Taylor and his wife, Shirley of Kershaw, S.C., Jan (Barry) Rabon Kershaw, S.C., Tammy Bradley and her husband, Steve of Camden, S.C., Kay Taylor of Kershaw, S.C. and Belinda Nunnery of Kershaw, S.C. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Mark “Spud Dog” Taylor.
A service to celebrate his life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 28, 2023, at Trinity Club House, 2990 Flat Rock Road, Kershaw, S.C. 29067. Preacher Cotton Pate and Mr. Jimmy “Featherweight” Faile will conduct the service.
The motorcycle procession will depart from Baker Funeral Home, 210 East Hilton Street, Kershaw, S.C. at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 28, 2023, en route to the Club House.
Memorial contributions in memory of Mr. Taylor may be made to Trinity Club House , 2990 Flat Rock Road, Kershaw, S.C. 29067.
