Obituary for Kathleen Faulkenberry Hunter
Graveside services for Kathleen Faulkenberry Hunter, 84 of Camden, SC, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 31, 2015, in Kershaw City Cemetery. Mr. Ronnie Stroud will officiate. The family will speak with friends following the service at the cemetery. Born in Kershaw, she was a daughter of the late James Melvin and Maggie Catoe Faulkenberry. Mrs. Hunter was a 1949 graduate of Baron DeKalb High School. She retired as a secretary from Blazer Finance and was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. She also enjoyed along with her late husband, transporting cars for local car dealerships. Mrs. Hunter was married to the late Leonard Leo Hunter. Surviving are two sisters, Mary F. “Jim” Stroud of Camden, Betty Jean F. Robertson of Kershaw, and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, John E. “Bud” Faulkenberry, and a sister, Pauline F. Williams. Memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice. Baker Funeral Home, Kershaw, is serving the family of Mrs. Hunter.
