Obituary for Johnnie Mae Baker
Johnnie Mae Baker, 85, of Kershaw, S.C., passed away, Sunday morning, December 19, 2021, at her home. Born in Kershaw, S.C., she was a daughter of the late Palmer John Baker and Louise Moseley Baker. Miss Baker was employed with Newman's Furniture in Camden, S.C. for 30 years. She was a faithful member of Oak Ridge Baptist Church. She also enjoyed working in her yard and putting together puzzles.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Sybil Henrietta Baker; 3 brothers and sisters-in-law, Homer C. (Christy) Baker, Harold T. Baker and James William (Katie) Baker and a nephew, Bronnie Baker.
She is survived by her sister-in-law, Judy Y. Baker of Kershaw, S.C.; 2 nephews, Jason Baker and William Baker and 2 nieces, Ava Mahaffey and Pamela Phillips.
Funeral services will be conducted, Tuesday afternoon, December 21, 2021, at 2:00 p.m., in the sanctuary of Oak Ridge Baptist Church. Rev. Donnie Barrett will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will greet friends following the burial in the church Fellowship Hall.
