A graveside service for John Philip Hegler, 65 of Heath Springs, will be held at 11:00 o’clock a.m., Wednesday, June 13, in Kershaw City Cemetery. Rev. Bobby Massey will officiate.
Mr. Hegler died Monday, June 11, at Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House, Rock Hill. Born in Lancaster, he was a son of the late Joseph Prince Hegler and Addie Theo Gardner Hegler. He was retired form Conbraco Industries and a member of First Baptist Church. He loved to hunt, fish and the outdoors. Mr. Hegler also served in the National Guard.
Surviving are his wife, Jo Ellen Connell Hegler; a daughter, Carrie H. Williams and her husband Greg; a grandson, Ryker F. Williams; sister-in-law, Patricia C. Owings and her husband Dr. Ralph Owings; a niece, Connell O. Dunn and her husband Fletcher and his special dog, Molly. He was preceded in death in addition to his parents by a brother, Steve Hegler.
