Obituary for John Kevin Doane
John Kevin Doane, 63, of Cassatt, S.C., passed away, Saturday, January 2, 2021, peacefully at home. Born in Washington, D.C., he was a son of the late Catherine Rose Cahill Doane and Charles Sumner Doane Jr.. Mr. Doane grew up in Maryland, where he graduated from McNamara High School in 1975. He loved to golf, fish, and he also enjoyed going to the beach. Mr. Doane enjoyed watching football and was an avid Redskins fan.

He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Paula Doane; a son, Kevin Doane; a daughter, Kelsi Pierce (Robert II) and his grandson, Colton William Pierce; a brother, Daniel Joseph Doane Sr. (Anne); 3 nieces, Cathy Doane, Colleen Doane, and Nancy Doane; 2 nephews, Patrick Doane and Daniel Doane Jr. (Kristen); 2 brothers-in-law, Mike Padgett (Sharon) and Gary Padgett (Regina); 2 sisters-in-law, Debbie Craig (Jimmy) and Cecelia Doane; a very special friend whom he considered a brother, Jesse Lee Sandy Jr.. Mr. Doane is also survived by many, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, and numerous loving friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Sumner Doane III, and a granddaughter, Everly Dawn Pierce.

Due to Covid-19, the family will hold a celebration of life memorial service at a later date.
