Obituary for John B. "Johnny" Baker, Jr.
John Boyd “Johnny” Baker, Jr., 81, of Heath Springs, S.C. passed away Monday, January 24, 2022, at his home surrounded by family. He was born in Lancaster, S.C. on May 30, 1940. Mr. Baker was past Public Works Director for Lancaster County and a member a of Heath Springs Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Lynn Thompson Baker.

Johnny was the father of three children, John Boyd Baker, III of Charleston, S.C., Melissa Baker Catoe, and Jason Brett Baker both of Heath Springs, S.C., and two stepchildren, Kathy (Joey) Taylor and Laura (Mike) Petty. He also leaves behind twelve grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

Johnny was laid to rest in a private ceremony alongside his wife Lynn, his father Johnny Boyd Baker Sr., and his mother Mary Estridge Baker, in New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery, Lancaster, S.C.
