Obituary for Jerry Michael Blackmon, Jr.
Jerry Michael “Mikie” Blackmon, Jr., 43, of Lancaster, passed away, Thursday, September 17, 2020, at his home. Born in Lancaster, he was a son of Jerry Michael “Mike” Blackmon, Sr. and Melody Kay Cauthen Blackmon. He was a brick mason. Mr. Blackmon enjoyed racing and spending time with his grandson.
Surviving in addition to his parents are his special friend and wife, Salena Bowden; 2 daughters; Cheyenne (Jordan Anderson) Blackmon and Cassidy Blackmon; his grandson, Sailor Anderson; 2 step-children, Hunter Hensley and Harley Hensley; 2 sisters, Tina Peavy and Kayla (Ryan) Holden and his brother, Cory Blackmon.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, William Brown Cauthen and Lola Mae Cauthen and his paternal grandparents, Foster Blackmon and Lessie Lee Blackmon.
A visitation will be held Monday, September 21, 2020, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Baker Funeral Home. A private service will be held for the immediate family following the visitation in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home, Kershaw. Rev. Todd Montgomery will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Baker Funeral Home, 210 E. Hilton Street, Kershaw, S.C., to assist the family with final expenses.
