Obituary for Janice Lee Wilson Cannon
Janice Lee Wilson Cannon left this earth on the evening of Saturday, October 11, 2014. Born in Georgetown, South Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Lucille Blakely Wilson. Mrs. Cannon was married to the late Larry O’Neal Cannon. She was the mother of Frank (Laurie) of Columbia, Kim Cannon of Andrews, and the aunt of Brandie Parsons of Andrews. Her pride and joy were her two granddaughters, Blakelee and Katelynn Cannon of Columbia. During the last few months of her life, she was lovingly cared for by her daughter, Kim, and special friends, Rachel and Justin Duke, and Amedisys Hospice Care of Florence. She was preceded in death in addition to her husband by a sister, Jeanie Wilson Parsons. Mrs. Cannon retired from the purchasing department of Georgetown Steel after thirty five years of service. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday afternoon, October 14, 2014 at 2:00 o’clock p.m. from the sanctuary of Trinity United Methodist Church, Andrews, South Carolina where she was a member. The Reverend Dr. Ben Michael Gafford will officiate. The interment service will immediately follow in the Andrews Memorial Cemetery, Andrews, South Carolina. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 1:00 o’clock p.m. at the church. In lieu of floral tributes, the family request memorial contributions be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, 205 South Rosemary Avenue, Andrews, South Carolina, 29510.
