Obituary for James Weldon Roberts
James Weldon Roberts, 61, of Heath Springs, died Friday, November 30, 2018, at his home. Born in Heath Springs on February 20, 1957, he was a son of the late James Willie “Bud” Roberts and Edna Robinson Roberts. Mr. Roberts was a member of Flint Ridge Baptist Church.
He is survived by sisters, Jean Faulkenberry (Dan) of Fort Lawn and Sylvia Harmon (Pat) of Tampa, FL; stepson, Ricky Gibson; two stepdaughters, Patty Gibson and Monica Gates. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Aileen Roberts and a brother, Russell Roberts.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 3, 2018, in the sanctuary of Flint Ridge Baptist Church. Burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the home, 1801 Flint Ridge Road, Health Springs.
