Funeral services for James Roland “Ronnie” Moore, III, 71, of Heath Springs, will be held Thursday, September 6, at 1:00 pm in Baker Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Hanging Rock United Methodist Church Cemetery, Kershaw. The Revs. Tony Ellis and Larry Reeves will officiate.
Mr. Moore died Monday, September 3, at his home. Born in Statesville, NC, he was a son of the late James Roland Moore, Jr. and Elizabeth Cauthen Moore. Mr. Moore was retired from Springs Industries after 43 years of service and was a member of Pleasant Hill Church of God. He enjoyed hunting and was active in children’s ministry. Mr. Moore was also a US Air Force veteran.
Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Jewell Ellis Moore; daughter, Lori Moore Hinson (Kenneth Brian) of Camden; son, John Paul Moore (Mary Elizabeth) of Gulf Breeze, FL; 2 grandsons, Brandon Kyle Moore and James Ryan Moore.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Henry Waites, Leshet Anthony and Hospice of Lancaster.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pleasant Hill Church of God, 3562 McIlwain Road, Heath Springs, SC 29058.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 12:00 in Baker Funeral Home.
