Obituary for James Lee Terry
The family will hold a memorial service for James Lee Terry, 52 of Kershaw, SC, Monday, January 5, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. in the sanctuary of Southside Ministries, Pageland, SC. The Revs. Frankie and Scott Alexander will officiate. Mr. Terry died Friday, January 2, 2015, in PalmettoHealth Richland, Columbia, SC. Born in Lancaster, SC, he was a son of the late Oscar Leonard, Sr. and Doris Kathleen Hopkins Terry. He was a logger for S & R Logging, Jefferson, SC. He also loved to fish, swim and spend time with his grandson. Surviving are his wife, Betty S. Terry of Kershaw, SC; a daughter, Jamie Nicole Terry of Kershaw, SC; a son, Oscar Hazel Terry and his friend, Spechal Miles of Lancaster, SC; a grandson, Joshua Lee Terry; two sisters, Dorothy and Karen; four brothers, Oscar ”Fuzz”, Rayford, Will and Jimmy, a number of nieces and nephews and special friends, Ronald Taylor and Lucille Humphries. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Donald and Ronnie. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society,128 Stonemark Lane, Columbia, SC 29210.
