Obituary for James Hugh "Jim" Barfield
A graveside service for James Hugh “Jim” Barfield, 69 of Kershaw will be held at 11:00 o’clock am, Monday, May 20, 2019 in Kershaw City Cemetery. Burial will follow the graveside service with Masonic rites. Rev. Bobby James will officiate the service.
Mr. Barfield passed away, Friday morning, May 17, in MUSC Health Lancaster Medical Center. Born in Kershaw, he was the only child of Dan Cole Barfield and Ehrlene Jones Barfield. Mr. Barfield was an employee of DuPont Co. now Invista for 50 years. He was a member of Abney Masonic Lodge # 211 and a member of Kershaw Shrine Club. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.
Surviving are 2 sons, James Earl Barfield and his wife Amber, Daniel Barfield and his wife Bobbie Jo and 5 grandchildren, Damon Barrett, Daniel Barfield, Gavin Barfield, Grayson James Mueller and Donnie King.
The family will receive friends immediately following the graveside service in the cemetery.
Memorials may be directed to Kershaw Shrine Club, Post Office Box 52, Kershaw, SC 29067 in memory of Mr. Barfield.
