Obituary for James Crawford Deese
Funeral services for James Crawford Deese, 81, of Kershaw, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 8, 2018, in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home. Rev. Mike Hammond and Mr. Floyd Helms will officiate. Burial will follow in the Kershaw City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends, Monday, one hour prior to the service beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Deese passed away, Saturday, October 6. Born in Kershaw, he was a son of the late William “Bill” Deese and Jessie Robinson Deese. He retired from Springs Industries and was a member of Kershaw Second Baptist Church. Mr. Deese loved to garden, fish and was a Jack of all trades. He could fix anything.
Surviving are his 2 daughters, Jackie Deese (Charles) Clark of Heath Springs, Michelle Deese (George) Rollins of Kershaw; 2 grandchildren, Jason (Crystal) Clark of Heath Springs, Amanda Clark (Chad) Truesdale of Camden; 3 great grandchildren, Khia Clark, Cole Truesdale and Lily Truesdale. He was preceded in death in addition to his parents by his wife Betty Payne Deese; a son, Michael Crawford Deese and his sister, Margie Deese Helms.
