Jack Bayard Faulkenberry

A funeral service for Jack Bayard Faulkenberry, age 83, of Lexington and formerly of Kershaw, will be held at 2:00 o’clock p.m., Tuesday, January 7, 2020, in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home, Kershaw. Burial with military honors and Masonic rites will follow in the Kershaw City Cemetery. Mr. Bobby Faulkenberry will officiate the service.

Mr. Faulkenberry, passed away, Saturday, January 4, at his home. Born in Kershaw, he was a son of the late Truman Faulkenberry and Myrtle West Faulkenberry. Mr. Faulkenberry retired from Greyhound after serving as a bus driver for over 30 years. He was a lifetime member of Abney Lodge # 211 and a United States Navy veteran. He was an avid collector of die cast cars and enjoyed spending time and taking care of his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary Stogner Faulkenberry in 2017.

Surviving are 2 children, Jay Faulkenberry and his wife Shannon ; a daughter, Shea Hinson and her husband Joey; 3 grandchildren, Tyler, Luke and Emory all of Lexington and a brother, Bobby Faulkenberry and his wife Louise of Mt. Holly, N.C.

The family will receive friends, Tuesday, January 7, one hour prior to the service beginning at 1:00 o’clock p.m. at the funeral home.
