Howard Glen Baker, 77, of Heath Springs, S.C., passed away, Saturday evening, February 5, 2002, at his home. Born in Lancaster, S.C., he was a son of the late Clyde Olin Baker and Nannie Ara Catoe Baker. Mr. Baker was an Electrical Technician with E.I. DuPont de Nemours Company from where he retired. He was a member of Rich Hill Baptist Church and attended Heath Springs Baptist Church where he served in many capacities. He was a member of Barron Masonic Lodge # 261 and enjoyed playing golf.

He is survived by his wife, Janice Fletcher Baker; 2 daughters, Susan Elizabeth Lucas and her husband, Terry, Angela Michelle Bacham and her husband, Jason; 2 grandchildren, Logan Lucas and Landon Lucas; a sister, Matrel B. Mackey and her husband, Gerald; 2 stepchildren, Brian Elliott and his wife, Brandi and Kim Miranda and her husband, Steve and 5 step grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Elizabeth Knight Baker and 3 brothers, Bobby Baker, Gerald Baker and Hal Baker.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at 4:00 p.m. in Rich Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, 1557 East Doc Garris Road, Heath Springs, S.C. 29058. Rev. Dr. Frankie Melton will officiate. Burial will follow in the cemetery with Masonic rites by Barron Lodge # 261.

Active pallbearers will be members of the Lodge.

Memorial remembrances in memory of Mr. Baker may be made to Barron Masonic Lodge # 261, C/O Grady Usher, Jr., 4129 Jenkins Hill Road, Lancaster, S.C. 29720.
