Obituary for Herman Willie Taylor
A memorial service for Herman Willie Taylor, 74, of Kershaw, SC, will be held Saturday, February 14, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. in Baker Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Todd Gandy will officiate. Memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Mr. Taylor died Wednesday, February 11, 2015, in KershawHealth, Camden, SC. Born in Kershaw, SC, he was the son of the late Willie Noah and Lessie Outen Taylor. He worked in the construction business and was a member of Abney Baptist Church. Mr. Taylor loved sports and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Surviving are a daughter, Mitzi T. Catoe (David) of Kershaw; sisters, Jean Vincent (Mike) of Camden, Mildred Phillips (W.T.) of Kershaw, Betty Faulkenberry (Ken) of Lancaster, and Judy Carnes (Sonny) of Rock Hill; brothers, Olin Taylor (Carol) of Kershaw and Billy Taylor (Shirley) of Kershaw; 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son Brian Taylor; grandson, Benjamin Ross Catoe, and brother, Ray Edward Taylor. Friends may call at the home of Mitzi Catoe , 375 County Line Road, Kershaw, SC. Baker Funeral Home is serving the Taylor family.
