Obituary for Herbert H. Vincent
A funeral service for Herbert H. Vincent, 84, of Heath Springs, SC, will be held at 2:00 o’clock p.m., Wednesday, December 7, 2016, in the Chapel of Baker Funeral Home, Kershaw, SC. Rev. Steve Mackey will officiate. Burial will follow in the Beaver Creek Cemetery with Masonic Rites.

Mr. Vincent died Sunday, December 4, 2016, at Springs Memorial Hospital, Lancaster, SC. Born in Heath Springs, SC, he was a son of the late Samuel Arthur and Curzie Munn Vincent. Mr. Vincent was a pipefitter with Local Union 421 and served his country in the United Sates Navy during the Korean conflict. He was also a member of Thorn Hill Baptist Church, Flat Rock Masonic Lodge # 178 and a Board Member of Beaver Creek Cemetery Association. Mr. Vincent recently received his 60 year membership pin from the Masonic Lodge.

Surviving are his loving wife of 60 years, Ruth Vaughn Vincent of the home; 2 sons, Larry Vincent and Timothy Vincent both of Heath Springs, SC; 3 grandchildren, Jennifer Baker, Rachel Baker and Sammy Vincent; a sister, Inez V. Wingate of Lancaster, SC, and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Becky V. Baker; 2 sons, Lewis Vincent, Roger Vincent and 9 brothers and sisters.

The family will receive friends, Tuesday, December 6, 2016, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Baker Conference Center and other times at the home.

Memorial contributions in memory of Mr. Vincent may be made to Thorn Hill Baptist Church, 2587 Kershaw Country Club Rd., Kershaw, SC 29067 or the charity of one’s choice.
