Obituary for Helen T. Roberts
Helen Thompson Roberts, 73, of Kershaw, S.C., passed away, Monday, April 5, 2021, at her home. Born in Kershaw, S.C., she was a daughter of the late George Franklin Thompson and Euretha Minnie Lee Baker Thompson. She was a graduate of Mt. Pisgah High School and was a member of Providence Baptist Church. She retired twice, first from Springs Industries and second from Chesterfield Yarn Mills. She enjoyed crocheting, making crafts, her dogs and bird watching. She was also an Elvis Presley music fan.
Surviving are her daughter, Martha Lee Wallace of Jefferson, S.C.; her son, Paul Mitchum Roberts of Kershaw; 10 grandchildren; a number of great grandchildren; a number of great –great grandchildren and 3 sisters, Ellen Anderson of Cassatt, S.C., Mary Foster of Lancaster, S.C. and Catherine Williams, of Waxhaw, N.C. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gayloyd Roberts; a son, Gary Travis Roberts; a grandson; a great grandson and a sister, Margie Key.
Funeral services will be held, Friday, April 9, 20021, at 1:00 p.m., in the sanctuary of Providence Baptist Church, Kershaw, S.C. Rev. Todd Gandy will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends, one hour prior to the service, Friday, April 9, 2021, beginning at 12:00 noon at the church.
