Obituary for Harry L. 'Chuck' Connell, Jr.
A memorial service for Harry Lloyd “Chuck” Connell, Jr., 63 of Lake Wateree will be held at 3:00 o’clock p.m., Wednesday, June 17, 2015, in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home, Kershaw. Mr. Connell died Sunday, June 14, 2015, at his home. Born in Camden, he was a son of Joanne Holley Connell Neal and the late Harry Lloyd Connell, Sr. He retired from Springs Industries after 30 years of service and most recently from Gerdau Steel. He was a member of White Springs Baptist Church, Lancaster and attended Lakeside Worship on Lake Wateree, Camden. Mr. Connell was also a graduate of Lancaster High School. Surviving are his mother and step-father, Joanne Holley Connell Neal and Charles “Sonny” Neal of Lancaster; his siblings, Jeff (Helen) Connell of Kershaw, Jan (Ralph) Jordan of Camden, Paige Peavy of Lancaster, Kim (Mike) Rollings of Lancaster and Tim (Angela) Neal of Heath Springs and a number of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 16, from 6:00 to 8:00 o’clock p.m. in the evening at Baker Funeral Home and other times at the home of his sister, 2900 Pink Plyler Rd., Lancaster.
