Obituary for Harold T. Baker
Funeral services for Harold Thomas Baker, 65, will be held Friday, April 13, at 3:00 p.m. at Oak Ridge Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Revs. Dale Myers and Don Coppedge will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in Oak Ridge Baptist Church Family Life Center, beginning at 2:00 p.m. Mr. Baker died Wednesday, April 11. Born in Kershaw County, he was the son of the late Palmer John and Louise Moseley Baker. He had retired from Georgia Pacific and was a member of Oak Ridge Baptist Church where he was a member of the choir. Mr. Baker loved fishing, working in his garden, the outdoors and singing. He was a US Army veteran. Surviving are his wife Judy Young Baker; son, Jason Thomas Baker (Amanda) of Kershaw; sister, Johnnie Mae Baker of Kershaw; and brother, Homer C. Baker (Christy) of Camden. He was predeceased by a son, Bronnie Baker, sister, Sybil Henrietta Baker and brother, James William Baker. Memorials may be made to Oak Ridge Baptist Church, 630 Oak Ridge Church Road, Kershaw, S.C. 29067.
