Obituary for Gloria A. Jackson
Gloria A. Jackson, 59, of Jefferson, SC, passed away, Saturday, November 7, 2020, at MUSC Health-Florence. Born in Hartsville, she was a daughter of the late Melvin Watford and Helen Jean Steen Watford. She was a homemaker and a member of Pine Grove Freewill Baptist Church. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, fishing and serving as a Sunday School teacher.
Surviving are her husband of 40 ½ years, Will “Buster” Jackson; 2 daughters, Melissa Caples and Mindy (David) Mills; 5 grandchildren, Jonathan Caples, William Johnson-Caples, Daniel Johnson-Caples, David Mills, Jr. and Gloria Alayna Mills; 3 sisters, Nettie Jean, Wanda and Maryann and 3 brothers, Rex, Howard and George. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Tracy Caples.
The family will receive friends, Monday evening, November 9, 2020, from 6:00 to 7:30 P.M. at Baker Funeral Home, Kershaw.
Funeral services will be held, Tuesday afternoon, November 10, 2020, at 2:00 P.M., in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home, Kershaw. Rev. George Brasington will officiate. Burial will follow the service in Pine Grove Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery, Jefferson.
