Obituary for Glenda T. West
Glenda Truesdale West, 90 of Kershaw died Monday, September 9, 2013, at her home. Born in Kershaw, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Eva Horton Truesdale. Mrs. West retired from Springs Industries and was a long time member of First Baptist Church. She loved the Lord and was a prayer warrior. She also was a member of the Esther Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Calvin West and a granddaughter, Keppie West. A graveside service to celebrate her life will be private in the Kershaw City Cemetery. Rev. Bryant D. Fersner will officiate. The family will receive friends, Thursday, September 12, 2013, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home and other times at “ Jabo” and Annie Blake’s home, 501 West Pine Street, Kershaw. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 67, Kershaw, SC 29067. Surviving are her daughter, Annie Blake Sims and her husband “Jabo” ; her son, Ernest Calvin West, Jr. and his wife Pat all of Kershaw; five grandchildren ,Chris Connell (Lisa) of Charleston, Denise Phillips (Joe Reed) of Kershaw, Tracy Davis (Heather) of Kershaw, Michael West of Florence, Matthew West of Kershaw; six great- grandchildren; two step great- grandchildren and one great- great granddaughter.
