Obituary for Geraldine Freeman
The family will hold a memorial service for Geraldine “Jeri” Freeman, 80 of Lancaster, SC on Wednesday, October 29, at 2:00 p.m. at Pleasant Dale Baptist Church. Rev. Jesse Adams will officiate. Mrs. Freeman died Monday October 27, at her home. Born in Kershaw, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Faye Robertson Bowers. She was of Baptist faith, a avid golfer and a former employee of Lancaster Police Dept. Mrs. Freeman was also a NASCAR fan, especially Jeff Gordon. Surviving are her former husband, Larry Freeman, Sr. of Greensboro, NC; a daughter, Sonya Walters (Royce) of Lancaster; 2 sons, Tommy Freeman (Julie) of Kershaw, Larry Freeman, Jr. (Danielle) of Missouri; 5 grandchildren, Amanda Boone, Brandon Walters, Alysha Walters, Christian Freeman and Thomas Freeman and 3 sisters, Helen Davis, Sara Bowers both of Kershaw and Pauline Westberg (Michael) of Charleston. Memorials may be made to The American Cancer Society, 128 Stonemark Lane, Columbia, SC 29210. The family will receive friends following the service at the home, 268 Dixie School Rd., Lancaster.
