Obituary for Fred Kirby Vincent
Fred Kirby Vincent, 83, of Kershaw, S.C., passed away, Monday, June 7, 2021, at MUSC Health, Lancaster Medical Center, Lancaster, S.C. Born in the Buffalo community of Kershaw, S.C., he was a son of the late Gus Hazel Vincent and Alma Talbert Vincent. Mr. Vincent was a United States Air Force veteran and a member of Kershaw Second Baptist Church. He retired from the DuPont Company as a supervisor. He also enjoyed bowling, playing set back and working in his yard.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Cecile Barfield Vincent; his son, Steven Vincent and his wife, Bobby Jo; his daughter, Wanda Vincent; his granddaughter, Heather V. Knight and her husband, Matthew; his grandson, Cam Vincent; 2 great grandchildren, Emerson Knight and Bridger Knight; 2 step grandchildren, Christian Hunter and his wife, Lacey and Kevin Hunter and his wife, Caitlin; his brother, Claude J. Vincent and his wife, Betty and his sister, Doris Faile and her husband, Elton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Vincent and a daughter-in-law, Kimberly Flynn Vincent.

Funeral services for Mr. Vincent will be conducted at 2:00 o’clock p.m., Thursday, June 10, 2021, in the sanctuary of Kershaw Second Baptist Church. The Revs. Dr. Jason Moss and Ronnie Hinson will officiate. Burial will follow in the Kershaw City Cemetery.

The family will greet friends following the committal service in the cemetery.
