Obituary for Fred J. Faulkenberry
A funeral service for Fred J. Faulkenberry, 93, of Kershaw, SC, will be held at 1:00 o’clock p.m., Thursday, December 22, 2016, at Baker Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Ray Lowe will officiate. Burial will be private.
The family will greet friends immediately following the service at the funeral home and other times at the home.
Mr. Faulkenberry died Monday, December 19, at Springdale Healthcare Center, Camden, SC. Born in Lancaster Co., he was a son of the late Willie B. and Lois Roberts Faulkenberry. Mr. Faulkenberry retired from Springs Industries and the SC State Highway Department. He was a member of Buffalo Baptist Church and loved working in his yard. Mr. Faulkenberry served his country as a marine during World War II.
Surviving are his loving wife of 70 years, Helen Allen Faulkenberry; 3 daughters, Lovetta F. (Jerry) Phillips of N. Myrtle Beach, SC, Bonnie F. (John) Eubanks of Bethune, SC, Marie F. (Jeff) Johnson of Camden, SC; 5 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; a brother, Perry (Nancy) Faulkenberry and a sister, Annie Mae Jones all of Kershaw, SC. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, James Faulkenberry and Manly Junior Faulkenberry and 3 sisters, Louise Phillips, Frances Bradley and Ruth Bradley.

The family would like to thank Dr. Wilberding and staff, Tri-Country Hospice, Springdale Healthcare ,and longtime caregiver, Betty Jean Patterson for the wonderful love and care shown to Mr. Faulkenberry.
