Franklin Carter “Frankie” Tolbert, 51, of Kershaw, S.C., passed away, Monday, March 6, 2023, at MUSC Lancaster Medical Center, Lancaster, S.C. Born in Chesterfield, S.C. he was a son of Steve Coleman Tolbert and the late Naomi Louise Meachum Bowman.
He had been employed with Titan Stainless, Pageland, S.C. Frankie enjoyed playing video games, playing the guitar, watching television and spending time with his nieces, nephews, and great nephews. He was of Baptist faith.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his father and bonus mom, Lynn; his siblings, David Tolbert of Wadesboro, N.C., Mitchell (Andria) Tolbert of Lancaster, S.C., Melinda Tolbert (Todd) King of Mt. Gilead, N.C., Patrick (Jennifer) Tolbert of Lugoff, S.C. and T.J. Tolbert of Kershaw, S.C.; 2 nieces, Zane Tolbert and Kaitlyn Tolbert Capps; 3 nephews, Wes Tolbert, Will Tolbert and Chance Tolbert and 2 great nephews, Jackson Tolbert and Paxton Capps.
The family will hold a memorial service to remember and celebrate his life, Sunday, March 12, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. in the sanctuary of Buffalo Baptist Church, 6390 Lockhart Road, Kershaw, S.C. The Rev. Larry Humphries and Mr. Patrick Tolbert will officiate.
The family will greet friends immediately following the service at the church.
Memorial remembrances may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 in memory of Frankie.
The family is grateful for the love and care shown to them from Frankie’s friends from Titan Stainless.
