Obituary for Ferris Boyd Jones
Ferris Boyd Jones, 80, of Kershaw, S.C., passed away, Saturday, May 22, 2021, in Prisma Health Richland, Columbia, S.C. Born in Lancaster, S.C. he was a son of the late Boyd Ferris Jones and Ethel Rebecca Baker Jones. Mr. Jones was a commercial fisherman.

He is survived by his children, Denise Jones of Kershaw, S.C., Bryan Jones of Chapin, S.C., Angie (Buddy) Taylor of Palatka, FL and Chris (Jamie) Jones of Kershaw, S.C.; 3 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren and a brother, Johnnie (Sarah) Jones of Palatka, FL. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Jean Bair.

A graveside service will be held, Friday, May 28, 2021, at 11:00 a.m., in Thorn Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, Heath Springs, S.C. The Revs. Todd Gandy and Steve Mackey will officiate.

The family will greet friends following the service at the cemetery.

Memorials in memory of Mr. Jones may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
