Obituary for Elizabeth B. Tarlton
Elizabeth Bradley Tarlton, 87, of Westville, S.C., passed away, Wednesday evening, February 9, 2022, at MUSC Health Columbia Medical Center Downtown, Columbia, S.C. Born in Cassatt, S.C., she was a daughter of the late Brodus Bradley, Sr. and Mae Robinson Bradley. Mrs. Tarlton retired from Springs Industries after 23 years of service and later was employed with the Bantam Chef, Kershaw, S.C. working for Frank and the late Dot Evans. She loved to cook, garden and spend time with her grandchildren. She loved her canine companion, Joey. Mrs. Tarlton was a member of Oak Ridge Baptist Church and attended The Cross and Sword Church.

She is survived by her son, Alton Lee Tarlton; 2 daughters, Kathy (Alan) Maness and Debbie ( Kenny) Hayes; 9 grandchildren, Angie (Chris), Jackie, Sharon (Clif), Ron (Chasity), Leanne (Trad), Brad (Pamela), Marlee, Rebekah (Justin) and Cori (Will); a number of great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; a sister, Peggy (Keith) Gunter and 2 brothers, Larry Bradley and Johnnie Bradley; 2 special nieces, Diane (Scott) Syer and Sandra Mixon and special family friends, John Mark McCaskill and Eric Holden. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Silvester “Bo” Tarlton; 3 daughters, Sarah Ann Tarlton, Jennie T. Young and Laurie A. Tarlton and 2 brothers, Brodus Bradley, Jr. and Otis Bradley.

The family will greet friends, Sunday afternoon, February 13, 2022, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home, Kershaw, S.C.

Mrs. Tarlton’s funeral service will be held following the visitation, Sunday afternoon, beginning at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Camden, S.C. Pastor Tommy Bowers will officiate.

Memorials my be made to The Cross and Sword Church.

Masks are encouraged for those attending the service.
