Obituary for Eddie Lewis Cook, Jr.
Funeral services for Eddie Lewis Cook, Jr., 70 of Kershaw, SC will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 23, 2014, from the chapel of Baker Funeral Home. Rev. Steve Mackey will officiate. Burial will follow in the Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Camden, SC. Mr. Cook died Sunday, December 21, 2014, at his home. Born March 8, 1944, in Camden, SC, he was a son of the late Eddie Lewis, Sr. and Ethel Wilson Cook. Mr. Cook was a well known carpet and flooring installer in the area. He was of Baptist faith and a member of the V.F.W.- Hartsville Chapter. He also served in the US Army. Surviving are his wife, Mary Ann Bowers Cook of the home; his daughter, Catherine Cook Duncan and her husband Jimmy of Lancaster; a son, Randy Lewis Cook of Lancaster; 7 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; a step-son, Bryon Andrew Waites of Kershaw; 2 step grandchildren; 2 step great- granddaughters; 2 sisters, Brenda Kersey (Earl) of Camden SC, Nancy Berry (Robert) of Cassatt, SC. He was predeceased by a sister, Margaret Boulware and 4 brothers, Freddie, Toby, Wayne and Jimmy Cook. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service Tuesday, December 23, 2014, beginning at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home and other times at the home, 3702 Red Maple Rd., Kershaw.
