Obituary for Douglas M. Dorman
Douglas Michael “Doug” Dorman, 69, of Camden, S.C., passed away, Sunday, June 12, 2022, in Dorn VA Medical Center, Columbia, S.C. Born in Camden, S.C., he was a son of the late Rev. Clarence William Dorman and Roselind Carrie Jones Dorman. Mr. Dorman attended Camden High School and was an electrician. He served his county in the United States Navy for 8 years and was a member of James Leroy Belk Post # 17.
He is survived by his sister, Vivian Rampey and her husband, Ray; 2 brothers, Ricky Dorman and Bryan Dorman and his wife Jessica all of Lugoff, S.C. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and his very special friend, Christine Frazier. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Bruce Dorman.
A committal service will be held, Thursday, June 30, 2022, at 3:00 p.m. in Fort Jackson National Cemetery, Columbia, S.C. Mr. Ronnie Stroud will conduct the service. Military honors and burial will follow.
A memorial service to remember his life will be held Saturday, July 9, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. in Life Arena Ministries, 1321 Bishopville Highway, Camden, S.C. Mr. Gordon Gainey will officiate.
The family will greet friends following the service.
