Obituary for Dorothy Mosley Outen
A graveside service for Dorothy Louise Mosley Outen, 84, of Kershaw, SC, will be held at 3:00 o’clock p.m., Monday, March 6, 2017, in the House of Prayer Cemetery, 2123 John Munn Road, Bethune, SC. Rev. Charles Watkins will officiate.
The family will receive friends Monday, March 6, 2017, from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. prior to the graveside at Baker Funeral Home.
Mrs. Outen, widow of J.L. Outen died Thursday evening, March 2, 2017, at her home. Born in Darlington County, she was a daughter of the late John and Martha Vincent Mosley. She retired from Heritage Mills, Camden, SC. Mrs. Outen loved her family, her church family and also loved to sing. She was a member and co-founder of House of Prayer Church and Cemetery.
Surviving are 5 sons, Olin Gainey of Kershaw, SC, Robert Gainey and his wife Sandra of Chesterfield, SC, Richard Outen of Heath Springs, SC, Larry Gainey and his wife and his wife Brenda of Union City, PA, Timothy Scott Outen of Pageland, SC; daughter-in-law, Brenda Gainey of Cassatt, SC; 15 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren and a sister, Lola M. Joyner of Kershaw, SC. She was preceded in death by 2 sons, Billy Ray Gainey, Sr., Thomas Randall Outen; a daughter, Brenda Waites and 2 grandsons, Billy Ray Gainey, Jr. and David Mitchell Wilson, Jr.
