Obituary for Dorothy Jane Cauthen
Dorothy Jane Cauthen, 61, of Kershaw, S.C., passed away, Saturday, June 13, 2020, at her home. Born in Camden, S.C., she was a daughter of the late James Buck Sheorn and Dorothy Mae Tidwell Ray. Mrs. Cauthen was of Baptist faith. She worked as a caretaker and was a homemaker. She enjoyed canning, gardening and sewing.
She was preceded in death in addition to her parents by a brother, Ken Sheorn; her first husband, Alvin Elliott Vincent and her second husband, Leslie Michal Cauthen.
Surviving are her daughter, Melissa Robinson and her husband David; 2 grandchildren, Blake Truesdale and Austin Robinson and a step-granddaughter, Ali Robinson and 4 siblings, Ronny Sheorn, Laurie Ann Truesdale, “Buster” Sheorn and Emmera Jean Hopkins.
A graveside service will be held, Wednesday, June 17, 2020, at 11:00 o’clock a.m. in Oak Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery, Kershaw, S.C., conducted by the Rev. Donnie Barrett. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Memorial contributions in memory of Mrs. Cauthen may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
The family will receive friends following the burial in the Oak Ridge Baptist Church Family Life Center and other times at the home, 585 Purple Laurel Lane, Kershaw, S.C.
