Obituary for Donnie McPherson
Donnie McPherson, 76, of Bethune, passed away, Monday, August 24, 2020, in KershawHealth, Camden. Born in Bethune, he was a son of the late Walter Graham McPherson and Ola Norris McPherson. Mr. McPherson was a carpenter and a member of Timrod Baptist Church. He enjoyed working in his flower and vegetable gardens. He also loved his cats.

Surviving are 2 brothers, Hazel (Janice) McPherson and Gary “John” (Becky) McPherson; a brother-in-law, Rolf Byrd and a sister-in-law, Ann McPherson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Jean Byrd, Ray McPherson, Basil Lee McPherson, Charles McPherson, Billy McPherson, Travis McPherson, Martha Byrd and Cleola McPherson.

Mr. McPherson’s graveside service will be held at 1:00 o’clock p.m., Thursday, August 27, in Timrod Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Jeremy Ussery will officiate. Burial will follow in the cemetery.

The family will receive friends following the service.

Memorial contributions may be made to Timrod Baptist Church, 4227 Timrod Road, Bethune, S.C. 29009, in his memory.
