Obituary for Donald E. Williams
A funeral service for Donald E. Williams, 69 of Kershaw, will be held at 3:00 p.m., Monday, May 2, in Pineview Baptist Church, Kershaw. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Masonic rites. Pastor Cotton Pate and Rev. Kelvin Hinson will officiate.
Mr. Williams passed away at his home on Friday, April 29. Born in Kershaw, he was a son of the late Dendy and Eva Coates Williams. He retired from Connell’ s Phillips 66 Service Station and Connell Oil Co. after 26 years of service and the Town of Kershaw after 22 years of service. Mr. Williams was a member Pineview Baptist Church and a member of Flat Rock Masonic Lodge # 178.
Surviving are his wife, Mildred Jenell Lucas Williams of the home; a daughter, Dawn W. Hood and her husband Rick of Heath Springs; a son, Chad Williams and his wife Tiffany of Kershaw; four grandchildren, Kylie Hood, Colton Hood, Savannah Williams and Jackson Williams; two brothers, Joe Earl Williams and his wife Peggy, John Henry Williams and his wife Carol, all of Kershaw; a sister, Margie W. Farmer and her husband Lynell of Bethune and two sisters-in-law, Linda E. Williams and Frances D. Williams both of Kershaw. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Quinn Williams and Mendel Williams.
The family will receive friends anytime at the home, 170 Ned Williams Rd., Kershaw, S.C.
