Obituary for Don C. Hall
Funeral services for Don C. Hall, 97, of Kershaw, will be held at 3:00 o’clock p.m., Monday, October 28, 2019, in the sanctuary of Kershaw Second Baptist Church. The Revs. Dr. Jason Moss and Ronnie Hinson will officiate. Graveside services and burial with military honors will follow the service in the Kershaw City Cemetery with Rev. Jeremy Ussery, officiating.
Mr. Hall, widower of Rosa Lee Norton Hall, died Friday, October 25, 2019, at his home. Born in Lucknow, S.C., he was a son of the late Robert and Roberta Hall. Mr. Hall retired from Springs Industries serving as supervisor of 3rd shift. He was a faithful member of Kershaw Second Baptist Church and the Kershaw Lion’s Club. He also participated with Youth Serve for a number of years. Mr. Hall was a World War II, Navy veteran serving from 1942 -1945. He served on the U.S.S. Muir.
Surviving are 4 children, Barbara Hall Ussery of Kershaw, Myra Hall Grau and her husband Gus of Lancaster, Dennis C. Hall and his wife Kathy of Lancaster and Christy Hall Broughton and her husband Randy on Conway; 7 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and 3 great – great grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Carroll Ray Hall and a grandson, Joseph Carroll Hall.
The family will receive friends, Sunday afternoon, October 27, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home.
