Obituary for Dessie F. Reeves
Dessie F. Reeves, 92, widow of Carl Braxton Reeves (C. B.) entered into heaven on December 8, 2020. "Deck" (as she was affectionately known) was the daughter of the late Minor Ruben Faulkenberry and Lena Faile Faulkenberry. She was a former employee of Skyline Ltd., a member of Heath Springs Baptist Church and currently a member of Oakhurst Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister. She was a precious Christian lady who loved being with family, friends, and her church family.

She is survived by a daughter, Sheryl Horton (Charles) of Bluffton, SC; daughter-in-law, Lynn Reeves of Heath Springs, SC; 3 grandsons, Andrew Braxton Horton (Nicole) of Wilmington, NC; Carlton Reeves (Jennifer) of Heath Springs, SC and Craig Reeves (Jill) of Hanahan, SC; 3 great grandsons, Braxton, Blaine and Brayden of Heath Springs, SC; one sister, Selena (Bob) Flynn; sister-in-law, Pat Faulkenberry Hinson (Wayne) and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Carrol Braxton (Buzz) Reeves; 3 brothers, Frank, Carson and Earl Faulkenberry and a sister, Margie F. Neal.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 o’clock a.m., Friday, December 11, 2020, in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Minor Street, Heath Springs, SC. Rev. John Rogers will officiate, and the family will receive friends after the service at the graveside. Burial will follow in the cemetery.

It will be appreciated if all attendees would practice social distancing and wear a mask during this difficult time.

In lieu of family visitation, a tribute video is included on Baker’s Funeral Home website in honor of our loved one. However, viewing will be available on Thursday, December 10, 2020, from 12:00 noon until 5:00 o’clock p.m. at Baker Funeral Home, Kershaw. The family will not be present.

Memorials in memory of Mrs. Reeves may be directed to Oakhurst Baptist Church, 394 Barrett Road, Heath Springs, SC 29058.

At this time the family would like to thank Heath Springs Residential Care Center for their loving attention shown to Dessie, especially during her recent illness.
