Delores M. Blackmon, 78, of Lugoff, S.C., passed away, Monday evening, October 4, 2021, at MUSC Kershaw Health Medical Center, Camden, S.C. Born in Great Falls, S.C., she was a daughter of the late Johnny D. Maree and Bertha Lorianne Granger Maree. Mrs. Blackmon was formerly employed with Springs Mills, J.P. Stevens and retired from Kendall Co. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and singing. She cherished the time she spent with her family. She was a member of Lesslie Church of God.
Surviving is her loving husband of 41 years, Lewis Edward “Eddie” Blackmon; her children, Sharon L. (Steve) Vanadore, Lewis R. (Sharon) Hargett, Delores E. (Randy) Kirkland, Mary L. (Michael) Thomas; stepchildren, Sue B. (Ray) Pardue, Rose M. (Jay) Cauthen, June Blackmon and Beth (Mike) Doster; grandchildren;Michael Varnadore (Nikki), Stacy Varnadore, JL Hargett, Willie Hargett (Tracie), Jamey Hargett, Joseph Kirkland, Meranda Nelson (Jim), Nikki Greenwood (Brian), Noel Garcia (Jose), Shane Parrish (Melanie), Anna Starnes, Andrew Horton, Stephanie Horton, Jenny Bolin, Kevin Doster, and Jacob Doster 25; great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren and 2 sisters, Johnnie Mae (Marshall) Clack and Tricia
Small. She was predeceased by an grandson, Justin Parrish.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, Thursday, October 7, 2021, beginning at 1:00 p.m. in Lesslie Church of God, 2357 S. Anderson Road, Catawba, S.C. 29704.
Her funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. in the church, following the visitation. Bishop Scott Demers will officiate.
Committal services and burial will be held following the funeral service in Kershaw City Cemetery, 190 Kirkland Ave, Kershaw, S.C. 29067
