Obituary for Coleman Taylor, Jr.
Funeral services for Coleman Taylor, Jr., 80 of Kershaw will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 8, 2013, at Abney Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The Revs. David Turner, Doug Humphries and Mr. John Green will officiate. Mr. Taylor, widower of Margie T. Taylor died Sunday, October 6, 2013, at Agape Hospice House, Columbia, S.C. Born in Kershaw, he was the son of the late Coleman, Sr. and Mary Gandy Taylor. Mr. Taylor was a residential and commercial contractor for a number of years in the Kershaw area. Mr. Taylor also retired from Dupont Co. and was a member of Abney Baptist Church and Abney Masonic Lodge # 211. In addition to his wife he was preceded in death by a son, Randy Lee Taylor Surviving are his daughter, Janice Hannah (Sam); his son, Johnny Taylor (Wanda) all of Kershaw, 3 grandsons, Jamie Willis, Donald Taylor, Matthew Taylor and a granddaughter, Julie Staley; 3 great grandsons, Richie Anderson, Colin Anderson, Kylar Taylor and 2 great granddaughters, Kayden Taylor and Skylar Taylor. The family will receive friends, Monday, October 7, 2013, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home and other times at the home, 3822-A Roberts Rd., Kershaw.
