Obituary for Claude W. Barrett
Funeral services for Claude W. Barrett, 76, of Jefferson, SC, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 12, in the sanctuary of Pine Grove Freewill Baptist Church. The Revs. George Brasington and Jackie Jenkins will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mr. Barrett died Sunday, October 9, at Lancaster Convalescent Center, Lancaster. Born in Kershaw Co., he was a son of the late Claude Walter and Mamie Wright Barrett. He retired from Springs Industries and was a member of Pine Grove Freewill Baptist Church. Mr. Barrett loved to fish, hunt and also enjoyed singing.
Surviving are his loving wife of 56 years, Frances D. Barrett of the home; 2 sons, Clint W. Barrett and his wife Tracie, Mitchell W. Barrett and his wife Amy all of Kershaw; 6 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; 3 sisters, Betty Ingram of Sumter, Julia Watkins of Bethune and Sandra McDougald of Wingate, NC. He was preceded in death by a son, Donald C. Barrett.
The family will receive friends, Wednesday, October 12, beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Pine Grove Freewill Baptist Church.
