Obituary for Catherine W. Adams
A funeral service for Catherine Watts Adams, 81, of Lancaster, will be held at 2:00 o’clock p.m., Thursday, February 8, in the sanctuary of Crestview Baptist Church. Rev. Les Thomas will officiate. Burial will follow in the Blackmon Cemetery, Kershaw.
Mrs. Adams died Tuesday, February 6, at Springs Memorial Hospital, Lancaster, Born in Kershaw County, she was a daughter of the late John and Lillie Mae R. Watts. She was a homemaker and a member of Crestview Baptist Church. She loved animals and also enjoyed flower gardening.
Surviving are 2 daughters, Kathy Adams and Faye Hartley; a son, Gary (Suzie Bradburn and her daughter, Carolina) Adams,; 4 grandchildren, Brian Adams, Carissa Gamble, Elizabeth Adams and Tiffany Scott; a great granddaughter, Paisley Adams and 4 sisters, Betty Rollings, Margaret Edwards, Mary Gritzback and Sue (Jimmy) Mosley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Bill Jones, her second husband, Coyte Adams and her sister, Beverly Copeland.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 1:00 o’clock p.m., at the church.
