Carl Levern Mintz, 80, of Heath Springs, S.C., passed away, Thursday morning, February 10, 2022, at his home. Born in Fort Bragg, N.C., January 23, 1942, he was a son of the late Carl Lee Mintz and Erma Atkinson Mintz. Mr. Mintz retired from the United States Army after 20 years of service. He served three tours in Vietnam. After returning from Vietnam, he worked for Elgin Feed and Farm and Davis Neon. He made many friends over the years and enjoyed visiting with them. He was a member of Heath Springs Baptist Church and a member of Barron Masonic Lodge # 261. Mr. Mintz also enjoyed fishing, camping and a fire in his backyard.
He is survived by his loving wife, Iva Crawford Mintz; his son, Carl Lee Mintz; his brother, Roy (Linda) Mintz and other family, Jane, Palmer (Eva) and Melinda (Russ).
Per the request of Mr. Mintz, no formal service will be held.
