Obituary for Brenda Marie Coates
A graveside service for Brenda Marie Coates, 55, of Kershaw will be held Friday, June 22, at 5:00 o’clock p.m., in Haile Gold Mine Baptist Church Cemetery, Kershaw. Mr. Jimmy Faile will officiate. Burial will follow.

Ms. Coates died Sunday, June 17, 2018. Born in Lancaster, she was a daughter of Betty Stroud Flannigan. She enjoyed fishing and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Brenda was also an avid Clemson Tiger fan.

In addition to her mother of Myrtle Beach, she is survived by 2 daughters, Krystal Jones Catoe and her husband Benji of Lugoff, Angie Jones and her companion Steve Holden of Kershaw; 2 sons, Cody Jones and Davey Coates all of Kershaw; 6 grandchildren, Meagan Cobb, Nicholas Cobb, Landon Jones, Donovan Holden, Kinley Marie Holden and Kira Grace Holden; her brother, Gary Dale Flannigan and her sister, Melinda Flannigan Mahaffey both of Myrtle Beach.

The family will receive friends, Thursday, June 21, from 5:00 to 7:00 o’clock p.m. at Baker Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions in memory of Ms. Coates may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
