Obituary for Bobby Shelly Truesdale
A graveside service for Bobby Shelly Truesdale, 88, of Westville, will be held at 11:00 o’clock a.m., Thursday morning, August 16, 2018, in Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Craigan Blankenship will officiate.
Mr. Truesdale was born in Westville, on April 16, 1930. He was a son of the late Shelly and Alice Moseley Truesdale. He died Tuesday morning, August 14, 2018, in KershawHealth, Camden. He was a retired masonry contractor, who loved his family and enjoyed training, riding and showing quarter horse cutting horses. Mr. Truesdale also loved raising and running beagles. He was a talented wood worker and loved to share the items he made and created with others. Mr. Truesdale was a member of Bethany Baptist Church.
Surviving are 2 sons; Laney (Pamela) Truesdale, Ronnie (Susan) Truesdale, all of Westville; a daughter, Lori T. (Dale) Hinson of Kershaw; 6 grandchildren, Becky Bowers, Justin (Heather) Truesdale, Brandon Truesdale, Amy H. (Daniel) Wright, Shelley and Kyle Hinson; 6 great grandchildren, Ryan, Reagan, Reid, Blake, Bella and Magnolia. He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Elizabeth Bradley “Lib” Truesdale; a son, Dale S. Truesdale; 5 brothers, Ralph Truesdale, Lewis T. Truesdale, Henry Truesdale, Hazel Truesdale, and Victor Truesdale and a sister, Vivian Melton.
The family will receive friends following the service in the church family life center.
