Obituary for Billy Joe Mooneyham
Billy Joe Mooneyham, 78, of Bethune, S.C., passed away, Wednesday, September 15, 2021, in Prisma Health Richland, Columbia, S.C. Born in Hartsville, S.C., he was a son of the late Francis Bannon Mooneyhan and Odelle Lyles Mooneyhan. Mr. Mooneyham was formerly employed with Cal-Maine Foods. He enjoyed go-kart racing, fishing, riding his golf cart and gardening in his yard. In his earlier years he enjoyed hunting. Mr. Mooneyham served his country in the United States Army.
He is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn Roach Mooneyham; his daughter, Brenda (Willis) McClintock; his son, Joey Mooneyham; 3 grandchildren, Courtney (Jonathan) Doster, Anthony (Brianna) Mooneyham and Andrew Watts; 6 great grandchildren, Channing, Stella, Emmett, Kylie, Brian and Emma and 2 brothers, Mickey (Sammie) Mooneyhan and Charles (Janet) Mooneyhan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 grandsons, Matthew Mooneyham and Taylor Mooneyham and siblings, Frank Mooneyhan, Sarah Gandy, Ann Register, Glenn Mooneyhan and Peggy Graham.
The family will greet friends, Saturday evening, September 18, 2021, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home and other times at the family home.
A graveside service to remember his life will be held Sunday afternoon, September 19, 2021, at 3:00 P.M. in Timrod Baptist Church Cemetery with Military honors. The Rev. Jeremy Ussery and Jackie Knight will officiate. Burial will follow in the cemetery. The family will also remain in the cemetery following the service to greet friends.
